The Waverley Council are relentless with booking locals and people visiting Bondi. It costs $3 an hour to park in Bondi beach, which is a turnoff for locals and visitors to park for shopping for food or groceries or visiting cafes & retail shopping when they have more options and free parking in Bondi Junction. This has driven down visitation to bondi and this has seriously affected local businesses. When locals, who don’t have rights for free parking in anywhere in their suburb other than a couple of surrounding streets get booked $79 for popping out of their cars for 5minutes for groceries, they will go elsewhere. As will our visitors. All locals who live in Bondi, should have the right to park anywhere in Bondi at the very least for an hour. Many local businesses are suffering and closing down.
Parking in bondi is a joke
