  1. You know Dan likes a pedal (duellist) when he has to snap himself out of the enjoyment of the sound to remember to tweak the knobs lol! Great pick ‘n mix!

  2. Am I the only one that looks at some of these pedals with multiple foot switches, knobs, dials and sliders and thinks “I will stomp all over those during a gig as I’m singing and playing guitar?” There are some inspiring tones in these pedals but, unless I pick up a switcher, they become unusable (for me) in a live situation where I can’t look down at my board and have to trust my foot.

  3. WOW, there at the end… I think maybe Dan will need to reupholster his stool, a whole lotta squirmin’ goin’ on. Great show guys!

  4. I thought Mick was about to honk George Costanza!!!! My face lit up and all I thought was, “Jeez, these music biz types sure do get to schmooze with the best of them!”

  5. Dan, I think you definitely sound more like “you” on the Jag than the Jazzy. Dream guitar, very jealous. I think the JM suits Mick pretty well, too!

  6. Everyone always asks Dan for chords or riffs, but would love to see that riff Mick plays at 14:23 broken down. You play it all the time and I love it.

  7. Hi Guys, love your channel, sorry for being off topicI just watched Mary Spender showing her new gorgeous Martin OM-28e acoustic and singing, love her.I discovered her with you guys at the guitcon show, unfortunately only on youtube and not live.you need to set her up with some audio from the instrument like you know how to.she needs to show off her playing a little more, but she doesn’t know that 🙂

  8. Maybe kind of a dumb question, but could a pedal make a single coil into a humbucker sound? For example, if you took the signal, inverted it and then combined it in parallel with the original then increased the output would that be the same, or is there a significant difference/its (practically) impossible to do that?

    1. i been wondering that for years. you’d have to invert at the pickup output inside the guitar, plus the coil output itself would have to be capable of driving 2 loads. then there’s solving the latency/phase issue if it comes up. i believe fishman fluence offer something that does something like this except their pickups are not “wound” according to the mfr. i have no idea of how they do it but i do know they require fishman’s own onboard circuitry and a battery to output. might be worth a look.

    2. +kingjbone1 I guess I made the assumption ( which is probably incorrect) that the coil output for a single coil is very similar to the original if not hopefully nearly identical?

  9. Minor, but I think, important suggestion: Add a 1 line blurb to encourage folks to listen, if at all possible, via good headphones. You spend so much time and effort on producing quality sound, it would be great if people could really hear the great results. As to the pedals themselves, they’re all interesting in their own way. The MkII of the Reverberator sounds nice at times, but, for me, even with the reconfiguration/update it still does not match the sonic quality of MXR’s M300 Reverb designed by Jeorge Tripps. In fact, IMO, the Neunaber is surpassed by Meris’ Mercury7. Dan ventured into My Bloody Valentine territory for a bit…

  10. you guys continue to be my favorite show… i mean, a jazzmaster and now a jaguar?!?! my life is growing more and more complete…

  11. How did you choose between the Fender American Original Jaguar and the AVRI Jaguar?

Sounds great, hope to see more of it on the show. Keep up the good work, gents.
