Alright, best rescue fails. Hit us with them. Is it one from the Bondi crew or somewhere else? We wanna hear it!
Santa Teresa Beach in Costa Rica. My brother saved my life.
A strong wave hit and my boogie board cable just said goodbye, I was kinda deep in the water, started panicking as waves wouldnt stop hitting me. I really thought I was going to die, such a desperate feeling… My brother saw my boogie get thrown in the sand by the waves but not me haha so he went in for the rescue. As I saw him coming to me I finally got to breath a little. Then when I reached the sand I couldn’t even walk, and just to make it worse (I swallowed salt water) I didn’t have any water for myself, no money and had to wait for my other friend to get out the water (about an hour with salt water in my throat, tired legs, and just wanting to go home) traumatizing. Took me a while to get in the sea again
One time I was at my local zoo and they have a pool, I was w two of my guy friends and one of them just stood on my while I was underwater. I was so close to drowning
Not really a fail, it was just funny, and not a rescue unless you count a spray bottle at the bottom of 10 feet. I’m a pool guard and the spray bottles we used to clean everything because COVID, we’re so cheap that they’d always fall apart. So I was cleaning the diving board and the bottle fell apart and fell to the bottom of 10 feet and like I had my shorts, shirt, and hip pack on, and my hat and sunglasses and without thinking, I just dived in and got the bottle. Ever was soaked lmao
Well, it isn’t my fail, but it is a serious situation. My son at 10 years old was given a jack knife by his father. We had recently separated, and the father was doing this to tick me off. He knew I would not approve, so my son hid it from me of course, as instructed. And around 11pm at night, my son comes upstairs, and he says, “Mom, I have blood” So I go to look at his hand, and he has sliced off the tip of his baby finger, hanging with a bit of flesh. I went into full first aid mode. Got it wrapped up with gauze and such from the first aid kit. (this is not the first time I have had to use first aid on my son) And swiftly take him off to hospital. While in the hospital, the doctors, say plastic surgery required, can do it in the trauma room though. So they put some kind of drug, spray up his nose. And all I could think about was, “May the birds of Paradise fly up your nose” song. They reattached the finger tip, ligaments, nerves, bandaged, high and ready to go home. He still has all seven fingers he came to earth with, so there is that going for him. He had almost cut off his ring finger same hand when he was three. But that was quickly attended to and repaired as well. Oh, and my son’s nickname, is “Token Bleeder” because, we would send a troop of kids, like six or seven, and told them, they can’t come back into the house, unless there is blood. lol. My son always seemed to be the one, showing us blood. lol.
I didn’t think I’d be telling you guys this but a dog attacked a human and I heard screaming and now I’m afraid of that dog because it’s literally my neighbor’s dog
Jethro has the best giggle of any man I have ever seen on tv, or in person. Just love him, hope he is at Bondi Beach for years and years to come
