Poor guy died on his birthday
Growing up in Aus, we all swam all the time since very young children and had lessons in school every year. I was always confident in the water, but even then, I was pulled unexpectedly into an aggressive rip tide at the beach once and I panicked at first trying to swim against it but then remembered they always told us to swim sideways and I luckily broke free before I was ripped out further. Terrifying, even experienced swimmers can fall victim to the ocean.
