I know it’s not PC but how can she be a lifeguard? If someone was drowning on the other side of an Olympic size swimming pool and she needed to get there quick and dive in to save them I don’t think she would be capable. No disrespect to her but when seconds count between life and death a serious decision needs to be made who is hired for their ability to perform above and beyond specially when children may be in danger as well.
Comparing it to the coastlines of the southeastern USA, your beaches are guarded. It’s surprising how unique that simple fact is. Here, you don’t enter the ocean if you’re not a strong swimmer, unless you have a death wish.
