Sculptures by the Sea 2012 -Official- Opened by The Hon.Barry O’Farrell Premier NSW
Another wonderful “Sculptures by the Sea exhibition” on the seaside walk between two iconic Sydney beaches Bondi & Tamarama. This year is the 16th year of continuous SCBS exhibitions.
The winner the 2012 Balnaves Foundation Sculpture $70,000 prize was won by Peter Lundberg from the USA. The number of international sculptors exhibiting at the Sydney exhibition grows every year. The quality of this years exhibition will not disappoint for the half million visitors expected over the coming weeks.
Thanks to David Handley and his Sculptures by the Sea team for another great effort, despite the perfect storm a few days before the opening that put the schedule behind for some exhibits on the official opening day.

Thanks John. Hard to find them all and unfortunately many were not finished when I went there on the opening day. Apparently a perfect storm hit the area a few day prior to opening and delayed some of the exhibits. Oh well next year. I agree with you the bamboo wind sculpture was one of the stand outs this year.
