Seven students transported to hospital after near drowning in Bondi Beach

Two students are in a serious condition with another five being treated in hospital after a near drowning incident.

At around 12.30pm two students who were wading at the ocean’s edge got into trouble after the surf pulled them into deeper waters.

Other students attempted to rescue them, however it’s believed they also got into trouble.

Lifeguards from Bondi managed to rescue all involved and resuscitation was commenced on two of the young males.

NSW Ambulance dispatched local community first responders, in additional to their primary care units.

Haztolah responders assisted lifeguards and an off ED Nurse who was at the beach at the time assisted with airway management on the most serious patient.

The students were on a two week trip from Indonesia. A student said this was their first time to Bondi Beach.

They were told they could wade in the shallow sea, but were not permitted to enter the surf.

Inspector Norm Spalding said in an interview, that the students were lucky to have year round lifeguards patrolling Bondi.

Six of the students were transported to Sydney Children’s Hospital, whilst the most serious patient was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

    G’day,

Well, Pauline Hanson will never approve of this…

When a bunch of Moslem Asians from Indonesia were clearly trying to drown themselves in protest against Australians not having Sharia Law or something, suddenly on an Ozzie Beah there was an Invasion of Orthodox Jewish Emergency Medical Responders wearing utterly Un-Australian Yarmulkas on their Heads and saving the Moslems from imminent Death at the hands of the “Bumpy” 2-foot Swell…

Anybody would think that Multiculturalism was actually working, and Hanson simply will not stand still for that to be said in public…

    ;-p

    Ciao !

      G’day,

Thankyou very much for the bouquet..!

Saying what needs to be said, in a whimsical kind way which bites deep without being too nasty or vicious, is a sort of an artform which I try to be a little bit proficient at…; where I come from I’m considered to be The Fool On The Hill, something of a Mad Scientist, as well as a Tree-Hugging Activist Greenie…, and in 1997 the Armidale Environment Centre appointed me to replace Judith Wright as their Poet In Residence…(!).

Among my Playlists there’s a “Warbles In The Wilderness” one, where I’ve put a lot of the Poetry ; it nestles in there among a string of roughly Topic-Sorted Playlists, with about 5 Lists of Wildlife Encounters sorted by Species…

Strangely, I’ve never met an Islamophobic Eastern Grey Kangaroo, nor a Swamp Wallaby who’s more scared of Asians than of EuroPeons ; and this morning I had 9 wild Eastern Greys visit to share my breakfast, and there’ll be about 5 Swampies dropping in later on during the day for Brunch.., so I’ve consulted a pretty reasonable sample.

I pay the rates on an Endangered Species Sanctuary (100 Acres), and I have no Computer ; this YT Channel runs on a prepaid Mobile (my daughter “created” the Channel & bookmarked it onto the Phone, 5 years ago…), so I probably exist in one of the more obscure little corners of the Tubes…

I treat YT as a Global Megaphone, which is a great fun thing to have, when one is a Hillbilly Hermit in a Regrowth Forest ; the original idea of my having a Channel was to publucise the results of my “SunFoil Project “, so there’s a Playlist of that name – check it out & then ideally you’ll retrofit your own Vehicle with one, as a DIY project (the Australian Federal CSIRO’s Evaluation & Endorsement of my work & results may be seen in “SunFoil Short-Talk…”).

I figure that if the Fool On The Hill was not an important Social Role, totally neccessary to the overall health of the Community, then the Beatles would never have sung of it (!) ; and if it was easy, then they’d have given somebody else the Gig…(?).

      Such is Life,

      Take it easy,

      ;-p

      Ciao !
